Do Your Kids Know America’s story?
“Do your kids know America’s story and what makes her great? So many kids don’t have a clue about where our country came from or what it stands for. What little history they’re taught is some politically-correct version that turns them away from the values of liberty and freedom, and teaches them to disdain the great heroes of our nation’s history. They’ve never been taught the principles our country was founded on. No one has told them the stories of the truly great men and women who have fought to preserve our freedom. Your kids and grand kids don’t have to grow up that way. But it’s up to you to make sure they’ve given the opportunity to learn about America’s true history. It’s vitally important to our nation’s future that our young people are educated from a very early age about freedom and liberty, how our government works, and the stories of those who have blessed our nation with their service.
When our Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution, they carefully chose every word that was used. They wanted to be clear from the very beginning where the powers were being derived from. They didn’t start it with “We the government”, because the Constitution is not the government granting rights to the people. They started with “We the people”, because the Constitution delegates certain and specific powers to the government from the people, not the other way around. If politicians remembered that one thing, it would completely change the way our government is run.
