“That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”  Matthew 5:45

There are no victims unless we are all victims. Handy-capped, or to be politically correct, (physically challenged) people are victims of accidents or genetics gone awry.  Rich people are victims of too much wealth that cause them to become greedy.  Ignorant people are victims of lack of education.

We as a society need to quit victimizing ourselves and other people.  When you make someone a victim or accept that you are a victim, the cycle continues.  The rich will always get richer, the poor will always struggle and there will always be accidents.  There will always be illness, injustice, and bad people that do bad things.  There will always be good people who lose sight of what is right, and evil people that are beyond redemption or measure.  There are many poor people who are happy.  There are many rich people who are miserable.  There are many ill people who keep their faith.  There are many evil people out to pillage, plunder, and destroy.

We can label ourselves victims, because we are victims of our circumstance.  But we are not helpless.  We always have opportunities, faith, love, and God’s grace for those who ask.  So I say to those who feel victimized that you don’t have to accept that label.  Don’t for a moment believe you are a victim because everyone is victimized in one way or another.  The excuses we make only solidify our victimization.  The truth is life is not fair, it never was, and never will be.  We live in a fallen world and we are without excuse.  This is the way of life as we’ve made it.
