I know that nothing is a bad as it seems and nothing is as good as it seems either. I know God’s Word is truth and many people believe in him, but they make him into something he is not. They want to believe he’s a God that changes his mind much like people do, which is very far from the truth. They make him into whomever they want him to be at the time.

Many people never even picked up the Bible. Many deceive themselves by saying the Bible is just a book, and there are too many versions for it to be translated to be truth. They say Biblical history is flawed because it’s been translated so many times and the translators are not infallible. They claim science is fact because it can be measured, but it can never explain what caused the “big bang” that made life possible.

There was a noted scientist on John Stossel’s show debating “Science and God.” He was asked where the “light” came from to create everything in the Universe. He said “It came from nothing.” Well, I am glad he went to all those Universities to come up with that logic. “Give me a break” as John Stossel would say. By the way John Stossel is an agnostic and says he doesn’t discount God, but doesn’t believe in him either. Please put him on your prayer list, because I really like him, and I want him to see the light.

There are no words to explain, excuse, or express when evil things happen throughout the world. It is a time though to remember all the good things that happen in the world. People have also wondered if we were alone in the Universe. God tells us there are ten upon tens of thousands of angels that live in the heavenly realm. The Bible says one third of the angel’s in heaven rebelled and were cast down to the earth with Satan. That is not a myth…it’s Biblical. The Bible is the only book that can be counted on for truth. The only book with 1600 years of history from people who walked, talked, and feared God. There are 375 Scriptures that predicted the Messiah Jesus. What are the odds of that kind of prediction coming to pass?

The Bible tells us that God spoke all things into being (Psalm 33:6). If scientists can believe that nothing begot something…then why is it such a stretch to believe that God is a Spirit with three distinct personalities and lives somewhere in the Universe. The Bible says “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”(Hebrews 11:3). This is certainly more logical than nothing begot something. At least we have proof of prophecies, history, geology, archeology, and witnesses of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

There was God before all things were made. (John 1:3, Col. 1:16-17)
God is from everlasting to everlasting. (Psalm 90)
God created all things made seen and unseen. (Gen 1:1)
God sustains all things. (Heb. 1:3, Col. 1:17)
God know all things. (Psalms (147:5)
God is all powerful omnipotent. (Gen. 18:14, Luke 1:37)
God accomplishes all things. (Isa. 14:24, 27)
We love because He first loved us. (John 4:19)
God is sinless and Satan chose to sin against God. (James 1:13)

NOTE: All free acts are determined by God in the sense that he had foreknowledge that we world freely sin. Acts are predetermined because they are known by God. St. Augustine put it that our free actions are determined from the standpoint of God’s foreknowledge, but they are free from the vantage point of our choice. Our moral actions are truly free and God determined they would be such. God is totally sovereign in the sense that he actually determines what occurs and man is completely free in responsibility for what he chooses.

The omnipotence paradox: – by Brian McCormick on November 5th, 2007, 9:14 pm
“Could an omnipotent being create a stone so heavy that even that being could not lift it?”
“The argument states that if the being can perform such actions, then it can limit its own ability to perform actions and hence it cannot perform all actions, yet, on the other hand, if it cannot limit its own actions, then that is — straight off — something it cannot do” (Paraphrased from Wikipedia). God can then be all powerful in the universe, while abiding by the paradox rule. It is not to say the paradox is faulty, but rather the assumption that God is not all powerful because of it. I. believe God cannot create what is not creatable, therefore he can create only that which is creatable; and since that which is not creatable doesn’t exist, than God can have absolute power over the universe.

*The Bible took 1600 years to pen down – 1513 BC – 98 AD – it has been with us 2000 years. The Qur’an came after the Bible dated 632 AD. Muhammad was born 600 years after Christ.
