This poem was written in 1964 while atSt. Vincent’s Hospital seeking the Lord

Rain can be a comfort
Rain can be a joy
Rain can be a pleasure
We all should enjoy
For when it falls
From heavenly clouds above
It restores life, and sprinkles love
It’s glorious to see, yet alone walk in
It’s like cleansing away all our sin
So if you see the clouds dark and dreary
Do not feel frightened or alone and weary
Put on a smile and just think for a while
That this rain will help us walk another mile
