When I grew from a child to an adult my journey had just begun.
There were trials, tribulations, and challenges’ and many songs unsung.
My spirit felt empty, mistakes were many, and finding the answers were few.
The sad times were heart breaking and happiness was taken for granted too.
Learning lessons came at a price and it took its toll on me physically.
Many times I repeated the same errors and was tormented literally.
There were many wrong roads and bad decisions that were just immature.
My life spiraled out of control because I was living a life that was impure.
How I wish I was born to a family that followed God all of their days.
Certainly I would have been a better person not having to change my ways.
Perhaps I would have been a missionary, another Mother Theresa, or a nun?
Or maybe I would never have gone through rough times that I had called fun?
But the Word of God tells me that I am just where He wants me to be.
Although I didn’t come down this road easily I never felt so free.
Every day I think of the past and thank God that He saved a mixed up kid like me.
My goals and dreams have been fulfilled because once I was blind but now I see.
My search has ended even though I don’t have all the answers, I do have spiritual peace.
My journey will not end until I take my last breath, and then my time on earth will cease.
When I open my eyes and see my Savior the joy I know here will be pure joy there.
Never again will I worry or fear, cry or be sad, never again another care.
